Debbie is the principal of The Drama Academy. She holds a teaching Diploma from The London College of Music as well as completing LAMDA qualifications and a BA (hons) degree from The University of Manchester. Debbie is an appointed LAMDA examiner and travels nationwide examining students in all subjects of the LAMDA syllabus. She is also an adjudicator for the Hong Kong Festival of Speech and Drama. Her main passion is the development of Speech, Drama & communication in young people. She teaches students from age 3 to Adult in group and private sessions weekly up to Diploma level.
Phoebie Bakewell

Phoebie trained at Brooksby Melton Performing Arts College after dancing with Shelby for many years. She worked through many exams whilst regularly performing with The Pantomime Company. Phoebie has a level 3 teaching assistant qualification and is currently studying for her degree.

Louise Clarke

Louise trained at the Royal College of Music & continued at the University of Cambridge. After finishing she went onto perform professionally in many venues across the UK and abroad, including multiple recordings for the BBC. Louise has recently completed a Masters in Theatre at Guildford School of Acting, with Distinction. Louise is the Programme Lead for Higher Education Music at Leicester College and a lecturer in Muscial Theatre. As well as teaching at TDA Louise has been a vocal coach at Coventry Cathedral and conducted the University of Leicester Choral Society Louise believes in using multiple methods in her teaching, incorporating ideas from Bel Canto, Estill, CVT & Accent method.
Daisy Mason

In addition to a degree in dance Daisy also has QTS. She performed in various contemporary and modern dance shows during her time at university and after; often as dance captain or as a principal role. Daisy has worked freelance as a dance teacher in the local community, teaching people of all ages and abilities for a number of years.
Libby Evans

Libby is completing the final year of her degree in dance and musical theatre at Performer’s College, graduating in May 2024. Before this Libby trained at BOA, on the level 3 BTEC in Musical Theatre, where she was awarded a triple Distinction star. Whilst training Libby has been working as a dance teacher at The Warwickshire Dance Academy and at Dazzlers Dance Group. Libby started her performing career at the age of 8 playing Tobias in Sweeny Todd. She continued with musicals playing Lady MacBeth in Macbeth, Mrs Darling in Peter Pan and Wizard of Oz. More recently she has performed in BOA’s Working: A Musical and she currently performs across the country for the company Partyscapes as the Disney Princesses, Belle, Elsa and Rapunzel.
