Debbie Cunningham

Principal and Head of Drama

Debbie is the principal of The Drama Academy. She holds a teaching Diploma from The London College of Music as well as completing LAMDA qualifications and a BA (hons) degree from The University of Manchester. Debbie is an appointed LAMDA examiner and travels nationwide examining students in all subjects of the LAMDA syllabus. She is also an adjudicator for the Hong Kong Festival of Speech and Drama. Her main passion is the development of Speech, Drama & communication in young people. She teaches students from age 3 to Adult in group and private sessions weekly up to Diploma level.

Louise trained at the Royal College of Music and continued her studies at the University of Cambridge. After finishing there, she went onto perform professionally in many venues across the UK and abroad, including multiple recordings for the BBC. Louise has recently completed a Masters in Theatre at Guildford School of Acting, with Distinction. Louise is the Head of Music at Saint Martin's Academy in Stoke Golding. As well as teaching at TDA Louise has been a vocal coach at Coventry Cathedral and conducted the University of Leicester Choral Society Louise believes in using multiple methods in her teaching, incorporating ideas from Bel Canto, Estill, CVT & Accent method.

Ally Clarke
Dance

Level 3 MT - Distinction
Level 3 - Dance Teaching

Ally has been training in Musical Theatre and dance since she was 4 years old at TDA and Rochelle. Last year she completed here Level 3 Musical Theatre with LAMDA and her Level 3 Dance teaching with British Ballet Organisation and is now working towards her Level 4 dance teacher award. Ally has been a frequent performer in TDA shows most recently as Cassie in Chorus Line, Eponine in Les Miserables &Roxie in Chicago. In addition to teaching dance at TDA she also teaches singing at Saint Martin's Academy

Lauren Johnson

BA (hons)

Lauren has been performing since she was 8 years old in a wide variety of shows and musicals. She studied at TDA 2014 - 2019 working her way through her musical theatre LAMDA exams. Last year she completed her BA (hons) at Birmingham City University and prior to that her Level 3 Diploma in Performing Arts. Recent shows at the Concordia include Nativity, Jesus Christ Superstar, Joseph and The Addams Family. In addition to teaching at TDA Lauren tecahes in KS 1 at a local primary school.

Felicity Clarke
Dance

BMus (hons)
MA Cardiff University

Felicity started studying dance at the age of 4, attending Rochelle & The Imperial Academy of Dance in Leicester, studying a range of styles including tap, ballet jazz &national. She took her BMus followed by an MA at Cardiff University. Felicity has performed in numerous musicals, starting at a young age &began choreographing for a number of productions at Concordia theatre and Rugby Youth Theatre Project. She taught Performing Arts in high school and worked on productions including Billy Elliott, culminating in a performance at the Curve.

Kyle Johnson

PGCE

Kyle was a student at TDA 2014 - 2019, achieving Grade 8 in MT, Acting and Verse & Prose. After completing his level 3 in performing Arts he went on to study MT at London College of Music followed by a PGCE at Birmingham City University. He has performed in various touring pantomimes and well as working overseas as a lead singer and performer. Recent shows incled Nativity, Legally Blonde and Bad Girls the Musical. In addition to teaching at TDA Kyle tecahes in KS 1 at a Coventry primary school.
